CVE-2025-5408Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via login_page buffer overflow

Published Jun 1, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025

Buffer overflow in Wavlink router firmware 1410_240222 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted login request. The sys_login function in /cgi-bin/login.cgi copies the login_page POST value into a buffer without checking its length. The handler is reachable over the network without authentication, and exploitation can compromise the router or interrupt its service.
