CVE-2025-54065Public exploit

Code execution via forged ZScript actor states

Published Dec 3, 2025 · Updated Dec 3, 2025

Improper actor-state handling in GZDoom 4.14.2 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code through crafted ZScript. ZScript can copy FState and VMFunction objects into a writable buffer, alter their function pointers and transitions, and redirect control flow into constants stored in JIT code. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled script content and grants process-memory access and code execution in the host context.
