CVE-2025-5405Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unsanitized comment fields

Published Jun 1, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025

Stored XSS in Blogbook at commit 92f5cf90f8a7e6566b576fe0952e14e1c6736513 allows remote authenticated users to run script through crafted comments. The post.php comment handler stores comment_author, comment_email, and comment_content without neutralizing executable markup before display. A logged-in commenter must submit the payload and another user must view the stored comment; script execution occurs in that viewer’s browser and can compromise the viewer’s Blogbook account.
