Authenticated script execution in visitor browsers
Published Jul 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
DOM-based XSS in WPAdverts 2.2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors’ browsers. Published material identifies the Classifieds Single Value block as the affected locus but does not disclose which value reaches the DOM or the incorrect client-side operation. Contributor-level access is required to introduce the payload, and a visitor must load the affected content for script execution in that browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
