Unauthenticated arbitrary file download via path traversal
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in Mitchell Bennis Simple File List 6.1.14 and earlier allows remote attackers to download arbitrary server files. Patchstack does not disclose the request handler, parameter, or pathname operation that fails to confine attacker-controlled paths. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the reported impact is limited to file confidentiality, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
