CVE-2025-53969

Authenticated settings modification via client-side authorization

Published Sep 18, 2025 · Updated Sep 18, 2025

Authorization bypass in Cognex In-Sight products 5.x through 6.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to modify device settings. The TCP port 1069 service trusts access restrictions enforced by In-Sight Explorer instead of independently authorizing proprietary management requests. A low-privileged user with adjacent-network access can change network settings or users' device access.
