Email spoofing via missing administrative API authorization
Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2025
Missing authorization in JetBrains YouTrack before 2024.3.85077, 2025.1.86199, and 2025.2.86069 allows remote authenticated users to spoof email. The administrative API permits nonadministrative callers to send messages with forged sender information, but JetBrains has not published the endpoint or omitted authorization operation. A low-privilege account and recipient interaction are required; the bounded consequence is trusted-origin phishing rather than server compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
