Camera job tampering via writable backup folder

Published Sep 18, 2025 · Updated Sep 18, 2025

Incorrect default permissions in Cognex In-Sight Explorer versions 5.x through 6.5.1 allow local users to corrupt camera backup data. The installer grants the Windows Everyone group full control over a ProgramData folder that stores camera backups and executable jobs.
