Authenticated command execution via copied sandbox binaries
Published Jul 17, 2025 · Updated Jul 17, 2025
Code injection in the function library of 1Panel-dev MaxKB 1.10.8-lts and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The sandbox removes execution permission from binaries only in designated system directories, while Python shutil.copy2 can place those binaries in the executable application directory. Function debugging and user interaction are required; successful exploitation launches attacker-selected commands, including a reverse shell.
