Stack-based buffer overflow in the CAPWAP daemon in Fortinet FortiOS allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The daemon mishandles specially crafted CAPWAP packets and overwrites a stack buffer; the affected field and copy operation are undisclosed. Exploitation requires low-privilege access, high attack complexity, and Security Fabric access on an exposed interface; successful exploitation compromises the device.
