CVE-2025-53835Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via raw xdom+xml blocks

Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2025

Cross-site scripting in XWiki Rendering 5.4.5 through 14.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via crafted documents. The XHTML syntax parser depended on xdom+xml/current, whose rawtext blocks emit attacker-supplied HTML, including script elements, without neutralization. Edit access to a document such as the default-editable user profile is required, and exploitation runs code in a viewer's browser.
