Local code execution via enabled RunAsNode fuse
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Incorrect default permissions in Nozbe before 2025.11 on macOS allow local users to execute code with Nozbe's existing TCC access. The packaged Electron binary leaves the RunAsNode fuse enabled, so ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE starts it as a Node.js process that runs attacker-supplied scripts. Exploitation requires local unprivileged access; code inherits only TCC permissions already granted to the app, while new access triggers a user prompt.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
