Untrusted pointer dereference in Microsoft Windows DWM allows local users with low privileges to elevate privileges on affected systems. The DWM Core Library dereferences an untrusted pointer, but Microsoft has not disclosed the code path or pointer source. Exploitation requires local authenticated access and no user interaction, and successful exploitation grants elevated control over the system.
