CVE-2025-53772Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via SyncOptions deserialization

Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Unsafe deserialization in Microsoft Web Deploy 4.0 before 10.0.2001 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The remote service passes the MSDeploy.SyncOptions HTTP header to BinaryFormatter.Deserialize without constraining the object graph. Valid Web Deploy credentials and access to an enabled deployment endpoint are required, and successful exploitation runs code on the server.
