Unauthorized device access via firmware-stored default credentials
Published Jul 16, 2025 · Updated Jul 16, 2025
Cleartext credential storage in Digisol DG-GR6821AC firmware V3.2.XX allows physically proximate attackers to obtain device access. The firmware binary stores hardcoded default administrator credentials used by the web management interface, exposing them to reverse engineering after firmware extraction. Exploitation requires physical access to extract the firmware; the disclosed consequence is unauthorized device access through the management interface.
