CVE-2025-53701

Administrator-session script execution via unsanitized GET parameters

Published Oct 23, 2025 · Updated Oct 23, 2025

Reflected XSS in Vimicro VS-IPC1002 firmware 1.1.0.18 allows attackers to execute script in a logged-in administrator’s browser. The /cgi-bin/action endpoint places unsanitized parameters from HTTP GET requests into its response, allowing browser interpretation as active script. Exploitation requires an administrator session and user interaction; executed script can read or alter data available to that camera-management session.
