Unauthenticated HTML cache poisoning via reflected AddToCache
Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated Sep 3, 2025
Unsafe reflection in Sitecore XM and XP 9.0 through 9.3 and 10.0 through 10.4 allows remote attackers to poison HTML caches. The pre-auth XAML handler lets crafted __PARAMETERS and __SOURCE values reflectively invoke WebControl.AddToCache, which passes an attacker-chosen key and HTML to HtmlCache.SetHtml. No account is required, but a usable cache key must be guessed or enumerated; success overwrites cached page content and can serve arbitrary HTML or JavaScript to visitors.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0 <=10.4
