Credential disclosure via plaintext job configuration
Published Jul 9, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Cleartext credential storage in Jenkins Nouvola DiveCloud Plugin 1.08 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read API keys. The plugin writes DiveCloud API Keys and Credentials Encryption Keys without encryption into each affected job's config.xml on the Jenkins controller. Item/Extended Read permission exposes the keys through job configuration access, while controller file-system access exposes the same secrets locally.
