CVE-2025-53663Network attack vector

SonarQube token disclosure via plaintext job configuration

Published Jul 9, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Plaintext credential storage in Jenkins IBM Cloud DevOps Plugin 2.0.16 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read SonarQube tokens. The plugin writes the SonarQube authentication token directly into each configured job's config.xml file instead of encrypting it at rest. Disclosure requires Item/Extended Read permission or access to the Jenkins controller file system and exposes only the stored token.
