AWS Secret Key disclosure via plaintext configuration
Published Jul 9, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Plaintext credential storage in Jenkins Statistics Gatherer Plugin 2.0.3 and earlier allows local users to read an AWS Secret Key. The plugin serializes the configured key without encryption into org.jenkins.plugins.statistics.gatherer.StatisticsConfiguration.xml on the controller. Access to the Jenkins controller filesystem is required, and disclosure exposes the configured AWS credential to reuse against permitted AWS resources.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
