API token disclosure via plaintext job configuration
Published Jul 9, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Cleartext credential storage in Jenkins Aqua Security Scanner Plugin 3.2.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read Aqua API tokens. The plugin serializes Scanner Tokens as ordinary strings into each affected job's config.xml instead of protecting them with Jenkins Secret. Item/Extended Read permission exposes the file through Jenkins, while controller file-system access exposes the same token locally, enabling reuse against the Aqua API.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
