Hidden-username disclosure via unchecked actor resolution
Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Jul 10, 2025
Information disclosure in Universal Omega DynamicPageList3 before 3.6.4 allows remote attackers to reveal hidden usernames via DPL queries. The adduser, addauthor, addlasteditor, and addcontribution paths resolve actor IDs to names without checking MediaWiki hidden-user or deleted-user flags. A crafted #dpl query can print suppressed identities through %USER% or %CONTRIBUTOR%, while username filters can confirm identities indirectly.
