CVE-2025-53594

Local file disclosure via path traversal race

Published Jan 2, 2026 · Updated Jan 2, 2026

Path traversal in Qfinder Pro for Mac 7.13.x, Qsync for Mac 5.1.x, and QVPN Device Client for Mac 2.2.x allows local users to read files. QNAP has not disclosed the affected component or how pathname validation, symbolic-link resolution, and the reported check-use race permit access outside the intended directory. Exploitation requires access to a local user account, and the disclosed consequence is reading unexpected files or system data.
