Repository takeover via untrusted workflow checkout
Published Jul 9, 2025 · Updated Jul 9, 2025
Untrusted code execution in RSSNext Folo before 585c6a591440cd39f92374230ac5d65d7dd23d6a allows remote attackers to take over its repository. The pull_request_target workflow checks out an attacker-controlled pull-request branch and runs its package scripts with base-repository secrets. A public pull request requires no repository privileges; the exposed GITHUB_TOKEN permits secret theft and content writes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
