CVE-2025-53531Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service disruption via unbounded fid request processing

Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in WeGIA before 3.3.0 allows remote attackers to disrupt the service with oversized HTTP GET requests. The /WeGIA endpoint processes a fid-bearing URL and arbitrary appended parameters without limiting total URL length or parameter count. No authentication or user interaction is required; requests approaching 8,142 characters consume resources, increase latency, and produce timeouts and read errors.
