Service interruption via unbounded errorstr requests
Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025
Uncontrolled resource consumption in WeGIA before 3.3.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt service with oversized HTTP GET requests. The /WeGIA endpoint accepts an errorstr value of up to 8,142 characters without validating its length, then expends resources processing it. No authentication or user interaction is required; concurrent requests cause elevated latency, timeouts, and socket read errors rather than reported data loss.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
