Local settings tampering via unsecured AIDL service
Published Jul 17, 2025 · Updated Jul 17, 2025
Improper component export in Bluebird Kiosk Launcher before 1.1.2 allows local users to modify global settings and wallpaper. The com.bluebird.kiosk.launcher.IpartnerKioskRemoteService AIDL service accepts bindings from unprivileged local applications and performs privileged settings and wallpaper changes without access control. The local-code prerequisite limits exploitation to applications or processes already running on an affected Android device, where successful use alters device-wide configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
