Shop Manager-to-Administrator escalation via undisclosed assignment
Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025
Privilege escalation in Dokan 4.1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with Shop Manager access to take over administrator accounts. The CNA and linked Patchstack advisory identify incorrect privilege assignment but do not disclose the affected code path or operation that assigns excess privileges. Exploitation requires an existing Shop Manager-level account, and successful escalation grants control of an administrator account and its site-wide capabilities.
