CVE-2025-53417Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file access and code execution via traversal

Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2025

Path traversal in Delta Electronics DIAView 4.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read or write files without authentication. The TCP port 80 web service uses a user-supplied path in file operations without validating that it remains in an allowed directory. Unauthorized reads expose service-account-accessible data, while file writes can execute code with that account's access.
