Stored XSS via unescaped form field attributes
Published Jun 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WPMU DEV Forminator 1.44.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through form field attributes. The front-end renderer in forminator-form.js inserts stored id and data-size values into DOM attributes without sanitizing and escaping them. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the injected script runs in the browser of any user who opens the affected page, enabling actions in that user's session.
