Unsafe deserialization in Lightbend Akka 2.10.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter application behavior via cluster metrics. MessageSerializer passes a serialized Number payload from a cluster metric to ClassLoaderObjectInputStream.readObject without restricting the resulting class. Exploitation requires cluster access and an application with the Cluster Metrics Extension enabled, exposing application data and service state to limited alteration or interruption.
