Agent hijacking via unauthenticated activation API
Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Jul 10, 2025
Missing authentication in Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Services SaaS agents allows remote attackers to hijack security agents. The agent activation API grants access to activation functionality without authenticating the request, enabling protection removal or a denial-of-service condition. Exploitation generally requires a user to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; only Windows SaaS agents before 6.7.3954 / 14.3.1299 are affected.
