CVE-2025-5337Network attack vector

Contributor-level script execution via unescaped aria-label

Published Jun 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored cross-site scripting in MetaSlider Slideshow 3.98.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through aria-label. The assets/metaslider/script.js code places the stored aria-label value into generated page markup without adequate sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the script runs in a visitor's browser when an affected page is opened, enabling page-context data access or modification.
