Authenticated file disclosure via unchecked URI path
Published Aug 22, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025
Path traversal in DPanel 1.2.0 through 1.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary host files through a Compose API. The GetFromUri function in app/application/http/controller/compose.go passes the JSON uri value directly to os.ReadFile without validation or an access-control boundary. A valid administrative-backend login is required, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the DPanel process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
