Contributor-level browser script execution via unneutralized input
Published Jun 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
DOM-based cross-site scripting in WP Enhanced Free Downloads EDD 1.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run browser scripts. Public advisories attribute the flaw to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping but do not identify the exact client-side source, sink, or affected function. Contributor-level access and a separate user's interaction are required; injected script runs in the affected site's browser origin.
