CVE-2025-5328Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file deletion via unchecked backup path

Published May 29, 2025 · Updated May 30, 2025

Path traversal in chshcms Mccms 2.7 allows remote authenticated users to delete files through the restore_del backup endpoint. Backups.php decodes each posted dirs value, appends it beneath ./caches/backup/, and passes the path to recursive deletion and rmdir without canonicalization or a boundary check. An administrative session is required, and deletion is limited to files writable by the web-server process, but removing application data can interrupt service.
