Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped popup settings
Published Jun 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in WebHolics Popup addon for Ninja Forms 3.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through popup settings. The plugin stores contributor-supplied admin settings without adequate input sanitization and renders them into pages without output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the payload executes when another user visits an affected page, enabling actions in that user's browser context.
