Remote code execution via exposed run object
Published May 29, 2025 · Updated Jun 1, 2025
Code injection in Aim 3.29.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands through run queries. RestrictedPythonQuery compiles the q parameter, then eval exposes an unsanitized run_view object whose database references reach sys.modules and os.system. Access to the run-search API is required, and commands run with the Aim server process's permissions.
