CVE-2025-53183Network attack vector

PDF preview crash via null pointer dereference

Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025

Null pointer dereference in Huawei HarmonyOS 5.0.1 and 5.1.0 allows context-dependent attackers to crash PDF preview. The PDF preview module dereferences a null pointer while processing PDF content; Huawei has not identified the affected function or input condition. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled content and interrupts preview functionality without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
