Authenticated code execution via MSMQ type confusion
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Type confusion in Microsoft Message Queuing on affected Windows releases allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code over a network. Microsoft identifies incompatible-type resource access but does not disclose the malformed field, confused types, or responsible function. Low-privileged credentials and network access to an enabled MSMQ service are required; successful exploitation runs code on the target.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
