Remote code execution via type-confused resource access
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Type confusion in Windows Message Queuing in Microsoft Windows allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a network request. Microsoft identifies incompatible-type resource access in MSMQ but has not disclosed the affected routine, object types, or malformed input. Exploitation requires low-privileged authentication and MSMQ to be enabled, and successful code execution compromises the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
