Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows Media allows remote attackers to execute code when a user opens crafted media. Microsoft has not published the affected parser, memory-copy operation, or malformed field that overruns the heap buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled media delivered over a network, and successful code execution compromises the affected Windows host.
