CVE-2025-53118Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential theft via unauthenticated backup scheduling

Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 25, 2025

Authentication bypass in Securden Unified PAM 9.0.x through 11.3.1 allows remote attackers to extract stored credentials via backup APIs. The web API treats cookies and a CSRF token issued through /thirdparty-access as sufficient access proof, then lets /configure_schedule write credential or database backups to an attacker-chosen location. No login or user interaction is required; a configured superadmin exposes decryptable password backups, while other deployments expose active session tokens.
