Unintended file access via colliding path prefixes

Path traversal in Filesystem in Model Context Protocol Servers before 0.6.4 or 2025.7.01 allows remote attackers to access unintended files. The validatePath function used String.startsWith against each normalized allowed-directory string, so a sibling such as /safe_backup passed when /safe was allowed. Exploitation requires an MCP client to submit a file-tool request for an existing colliding-prefix path; reads or writes then occur with the server process permissions.
