Unintended file access via symlink validation failure

Path validation bypass in the Model Context Protocol Filesystem server before 0.6.4 or 2025.7.01 allows remote attackers to access unintended files via symlinks. The validatePath routine catches its own rejection of an out-of-root real path, treats it like a missing target, and approves the request after checking only the in-root parent. Exploitation requires a symlink inside an allowed directory and passive user interaction; successful access can expose, alter, or disrupt host files.
