CVE-2025-53099Network attack vector

Persistent account access via concurrent OAuth grant reuse

Published Jul 1, 2025 · Updated Jul 1, 2025

Authentication bypass in Sentry before 25.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to retain account access through OAuth tokens. The OAuth grant exchange created access and refresh token pairs before atomically deleting the one-time ApiGrant, so simultaneous exchanges reused one code; revocation also left grant and replicated-token records behind. Exploitation requires a registered malicious OAuth application, a user's explicit authorization, and precisely timed requests; resulting access is limited to that user's permissions.
