CVE-2025-53078Network attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via deserialized file write

Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Jul 29, 2025

Deserialization in Samsung HVAC DMS allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a system file write. Samsung and Claroty have not disclosed the affected service, serialized object, or routine; public details establish only that untrusted data produces a system file write that leads to code execution. An administrator must reach the DMS service over the network, and the affected branches are 2.0.0 through 2.3.13.0, 2.5.0.17 through 2.6.14.0, and 2.7.0.15 through 2.9.3.5; Samsung states that DMS belongs only on a separate dedicated network.
