Uncontrolled resource consumption in MySQL Server allows remote authenticated users to cause a hang or repeatable crash via MySQL Protocol. Oracle identifies the Server: Optimizer component but has not published the request shape or resource-consuming operation; affected releases are 8.0.0 through 8.0.43, 8.4.0 through 8.4.6, and 9.0.0 through 9.4.0. The attack requires a highly privileged account with network access and can interrupt availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
