Privileged access to hypervisor-accessible data
Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Information disclosure in Oracle VM VirtualBox 7.1.10 Core allows local users with high privileges to access critical VirtualBox data. Oracle identifies the affected locus only as the Core component and has not published the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires a high-privileged logon on the host, and the resulting read access can extend to all data accessible to VirtualBox without altering or interrupting it.
