CVE-2025-53013

Offline host access via invalid Hello PIN

Published Jun 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 20, 2025

Improper authentication in Himmelblau 0.9.10 through 0.9.16 allows physically proximate attackers to access an offline Linux host. The acquire_token_by_hello_for_business_key function treats a nonce RequestFailed error as offline authentication success instead of validating that the supplied Hello key unlocks. Exploitation requires physical access, an offline host, and Hello PIN authentication enabled; it grants a local session, while SSO token issuance still fails.
